This Privacy Policy describes how AmperHeads (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects and uses information when you visit amperheads.com.
Information We Collect
Analytics Data We use a777web , a privacy-first analytics service, to count visits. It records the page URL, referrer, country, device type, browser and operating system, plus a random session ID kept in your browser’s sessionStorage that is cleared when you close the tab. It does not set cookies and does not identify you personally.
Cookies AmperHeads itself does not set cookies. Retailers you click through to, such as Amazon, set their own cookies on their own sites.
Contact Form When you send a message through the contact form , we receive your email address, subject and message, plus your IP address and browser name to block spam. The message is forwarded to the editor’s inbox and a copy is kept on our server for 90 days, then deleted. We use your email address only to reply to you.
Affiliate Tracking When you click an Amazon link on our site and then buy something, Amazon uses its own cookies to credit the sale to us for commission purposes. Those cookies are governed by Amazon’s privacy policy. Links to manufacturers that sell direct (for example Schiit and JDS Labs) are plain links with no tracking.
How We Use Information
We use analytics data to understand which content is useful, how visitors navigate the site, and how to improve our recommendations. We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties beyond what is described in this policy.
